Sourcing Krugle

My old friend Steve Larsen called a few months back to clue me in about the new company he was working with, called . "It's a search engine for source code." he said. "Plus other stuff programmers would like to search for."

Now another old friend (and Cluetrain co-author), Chris Locke, is working there too.

Krugle is up now, and in need of feedback and suggestions from actual programmers. I'm not one of those, but there's a good chance you are.

Even if you aren't, check Krugle out and let them know what you think and how they can improve the service.

Krugle is nice...

BUT... :-) I personally don't like their interface. It is slow and why do they offer this AJAX stuff? I can do everything with tabbed browsing. Consequently, my favourite code search engine is merobase (see http://merobase.com). Clean, fast and great results for Java. I do not need anything else...

I, also, am not a programmer. But I checked out the site. It sounded really interesting so I wanted to see for myself. And just as I had thought, it is not something that I can make use of.It is, however very useful for those who knwo about computer programming. You can search source codes, and tutorials, or blogs and reviews by fellow programmers. You can shre your input on some of the files that you can find in the site, and other programmers can learn from you. Just the same, you can learn from other programmers as well. I think that computer and internet industry will benefit greatly from this. It's a free source for everyone and tons of ideas to better the system can be harvested form this wonderful new site.
